Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)

Few plants carry a story quite like yarrow. Named for the legendary Greek hero Achilles — who, according to myth, used it to tend the wounds of his fellow soldiers on the battlefield — this ancient herb has been a cornerstone of traditional Western herbalism for thousands of years. It is a plant that seems to know its own strength.

Our organic yarrow is cultivated by a trusted farm partner in the Pacific Northwest, where it grows as nature intended — feathery, fragrant, and full of character. An herbaceous perennial found in gardens, mountain meadows, and along roadsides across North America, Europe, and Asia, yarrow is as hardy as it is beautiful. Its leaves are soft and deeply segmented, almost fern-like in their delicacy, and in summer it sends up sturdy stalks crowned with clusters of tiny white to pink flowers that carry a distinctive, earthy aroma. In dry years those stalks grow short and compact, the plant quietly conserving its energy in the roots — a quiet resilience that herbalists have long admired.

Our yarrow consists of the full aerial portion of the plant — leaves, stems, and flowers — making it wonderfully versatile. Use it in herbal tea blends, skin care creations, or tinctures. It pairs beautifully with other herbs and brings both tradition and depth to any formulation.

Precautions: Not for use during pregnancy except under the supervision of a qualified healthcare practitioner. Those with known allergies to plants in the Asteraceae family should use caution, as cross-reactivity is common within this plant family. Processed in a facility that also handles tree nuts — occasional fragments may be present. As always, we recommend consulting a qualified healthcare practitioner before use, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or taking any medications.
